The Cetacean Welfare Assessment, or C-Well, was developed in 2013 as the first formal effort to develop a comprehensive assessment for zoo animals using welfare science principles. The measures are substantiated in scientific research and literature, and have been extended to 5 species of cetacean so far. In this seminar we discuss the development of C-Well, how to apply it as well as the plans for its future!
